Opened its doors in the middle of May 2023, Fuji Biyori Teppanyaki Restaurant has been serving delectable Japanese cuisine for the ultimate dining experience in Helsinki. For an authentic taste, we only use well-chosen and high-quality ingredients, cooked in a classy teppanyaki style to deliver the best of its creations in a dynamic and entertaining atmosphere. By providing our guests with a unique culinary experience that goes beyond delicious cuisine, we are eager to bring people together for fun and authentic Japanese cuisine with our own modern twist.

Our Story

“Fuji Biyori” in Japanese means a perfect day for going to Mount Fuji. As we all know, Mount Fuji can only see the perfect view of the mountain when the weather is clear, so we named it Fuji Biyori. We hope that every dining experience of customers in our restaurant will be like when the weather is sunny as beautiful as Mount Fuji.

Izakaya

We offer a variety of drinks, snacks, and food. There are also many sakes to choose from. Izakaya food is usually served on small plates for groups to share. Start with a quick-to-prepare dish like hiyayakko or edamame, then move on to more savory dishes like yakitori or fried chicken, and finish with a hearty meal of rice or ramen. 

Teppanyaki

Teppanyaki is a relatively expensive way of cooking in Japanese cuisine. Teppanyaki usually uses high-quality ingredients, and experienced chefs cook seafood, meat, and vegetables in real-time in front of diners. In addition to satisfying the taste, appreciating the chef’s cooking process is also a special experience.

We are the first and only one Japanese restaurant in Helsinki to serve Teppanyaki in front of our guests and we look forward to bringing you a new dining experience.

Omakase

Omakase (おまかせ) translates as ‘I’ll leave it up to you’. It is essentially trusting the professional to decide something for you. 

Ordering omakase in a restaurant means you are relinquishing control of your meal to your chef. We will provide you with a selection of curated dishes depending on seasonality and our professional judgment.

As the only teppanyaki omakase restaurant in Finland, of course, you will experience that at least one of the dishes is teppanyaki.

We only accept Omakase reservations for dinner and weekends. Please make reservations two days in advance to ensure the quality of omakase dishes.
